Frequently Asked Questions About Our Service

Here you will find answers to our most commonly asked questions.

Do I need a referral?

No, you do not need a referral to use our services. If you are covered under ACC or coming through a GP or specialist, a referral can be helpful but is not required.

Is my injury covered under ACC?

In most cases, yes. ACC provides support if your injury was caused by an accident or sudden event, such as a sprain, fracture, dislocation, workplace or sports injury.

ACC covers:

  • Accidental injuries (sprains, breaks, dislocations, falls, sports injuries)

  • Workplace-related injuries (including some gradual injuries like RSI)

  • Treatment injuries (an injury that happens during medical treatment)

  • Aggravation of a pre-existing condition caused by an accident

ACC usually don’t cover:

  • Wear and tear or degeneration (e.g., arthritis)

  • Pain without a clear accident or cause

If your claim is accepted, ACC will help cover the cost of your physiotherapy.

Is this service covered under ACC?

Yes, if your injury is covered under ACC, we are able to provide mobile physiotherapy under ACC guidelines. Have your ACC claim number ready and we’ll handle the paperwork.

If you have not yet lodged an ACC claim, one of our physiotherapist can do this for you upon initial assessment. You do not need to see a GP first before seeing us.

What conditions do you treat?

Our team treat a wide range of conditions, including:

  • Musculoskeletal injuries (e.g., back, shoulder, knee sprains)

  • Parkinson’s, Dementia and other neurological conditions

  • Stroke rehabilitation

  • Post-surgical rehab (e.g., hip/knee replacements)

  • Falls and balance issues

  • Chronic pain and arthritis

How long is each session?

One of our stand-out values are our longer treatment session times of 60 minutes. This provides us with the opportunity to provide you with a premium service combining hands-on physio treatment, exercise rehabilitation and education.

What equipment do I need to provide for my session?

We bring all of the equipment to you! This can include: a portable fold-up massage table, exercise equipment, and hand-held rehabilitation tools. We may ask you to provide a towel for the massage bed, but other than that, we come fully prepared!
